Becoming a mom changed everything for me.

After my first pregnancy, I gained over 80 pounds and continued gaining weight after delivery. I felt lost. I didn’t recognize the woman looking back at me, and I struggled through the postpartum season trying to find myself again.

At first, I just wanted to “lose the baby weight.” But my fitness journey quickly became about so much more than a number on the scale.

The gym became my safe place. It was the one hour of my day that belonged entirely to me—a space where I could release stress, anxiety, overwhelm, frustration, and every emotion that motherhood can bring. It also became the place where I celebrated my victories, built confidence, and rediscovered my strength.

Along the way, something incredible happened. I stopped chasing perfection and started appreciating everything my body had done for me. The flaws and stretch marks I once tried to hide became reminders of how strong and capable I truly was. I fell in love with the woman I was becoming and grew proud of everything I had overcome.

That transformation sparked something bigger than myself.

I knew I wanted to help other women experience that same feeling—not just by helping them lose weight, but by helping them build confidence, strength, and a healthier relationship with themselves. I teach women how to fuel their bodies without giving up the foods they love, how to enjoy movement instead of dreading it, and how to become stronger both physically and mentally.

Body by Emily is more than a fitness program. It’s a community where women are supported, challenged, and empowered to become the strongest version of themselves.
